Challenge instructions

Round 1

The online application for the innovation challenge opens on June 14th and will remain open for submissions until July 21st.

In this initial round, participants are required to complete the application form and upload a 1-2 page A4 document detailing their innovation. No additional uploads are necessary at this stage.

The application window will close on July 21st. Following this, our team will review all submissions and select participants to advance to the next round.

All applicants will be informed of their selection status on July 26th and will receive further instructions regarding the following steps.

Round 2

Participants selected for Round 2 will be invited to schedule sparring sessions between August 1st and August 31st. During this round, participants are asked to develop their pitch decks and submit their background materials and resumes.

The pitch deck should contain the following:  

  • Problem Formulation: Core issue behind the innovation including impact figures and supporting evidence

  • Proposed Solution: Description, problem resolution and required innovations

  • Quantified Impact and Market Potential: Economic, environmental and societal benefits from the solution, and market potential

  • Unique Selling Point (USP): Description of what makes your product and services better than the competition, and supporting evidence

  • Growth plan: How you plan to scale the innovation from concept to a profitable business

  • Business Potential: Pricing strategy, investments needed, cost structure, and P&L simulation

  • Risk Management: Market (and other) risks and mitigation strategies

  • Team and Motivation: Introduction of the team and motivation for developing the innovation and business

  • Support Needed: The support you need from M.INC to form your innovation and scale your business

The deadline for submitting the first version of the pitch deck is September 1st.

All participants will be notified of their selection status and receive feedback by September 8th.

Round 3

Participants advancing to Round 3 will be invited to schedule additional sparring and pitch feedback sessions between September 8th and October 4th.

The final version of the pitch deck must be submitted by October 10th. After the final evaluation, participants will receive feedback on October 17th.

Selected participants will be invited to present at the final event on October 31st.
